Conference Services

When planning a conference at the University of Nevada, Reno the following policy requirements must be adhered to:
All outside groups are required to provide Event General Liability Insurance.

All youth groups must follow the UAM 7002 policy requirements that states all University participants in a program or activity involving children that includes an overnight stay or being alone with a child and for all University supervisors of a program or activity involving children:

Any University employee, student or volunteer working in a University program or activity involving children that includes an overnight stay or that involves a university employee, student or volunteer who might reasonably be expected to be alone with a child, shall:

1. Complete a fingerprint background check as part of initial hiring process and every six years thereafter.
2. Annually read and understand the materials in the Information Packet and certify having done so. Annually complete an online training session on the topic of child abuse from the State of Nevada Department of Child and Family Services.
3. Certify that he/she has completed the online training by completing the Certification of Completion of Online Training Regarding Child Abuse in the Information Packet.
